How can I be angry/happy/sad/... and understand why I feel this way and what can I do about it myself?

How does it show?

  • Can recognize and name feelings such as jealousy, cheerfulness, panic,...

 

  • Can tell when you feel mad/angry/sad/happy…, you behave differently than when you’re calm.

 

  • Know how to calm yourself down when you’re mad at someone.

 

  • Know when you’re mad, you have an effect on another person and you can name your part in a situation that got out of hand.

4G scheme:

and behaviour in this 4G scheme:

​E.g. using a 4G scheme: 

  • Event: something happens

  • Thoughts: I think about this

  • Feelings: I feel sad, happy, mad… about this event

  • Behaviour: I act differently because of how I feel or how I think about it.
